Specialist Designation to become Certified Specialist
Dr. Papadopoulos completed written and oral examinations (National Dental Specialty Examinations) administered by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) to earn his specialist designation as an orthodontist; a certified specialist in orthodontics.
The RCDC was established in 1965 by an Act of the Federal Government of Canada to promote the high standards of specialization and to recognize properly trained dental specialists. With this certification, he is currently the only certified orthodontic specialist in New Brunswick who also holds previous pediatric residency training.
Continuing Education
Dr. Papadopoulos is also committed to staying current to the most recent advances in orthodontic modalities and technologies. Whether it be metal braces, ceramic (clear) braces, clear removable aligners (such as Invisalign), or 3D printing custom appliances and aligners, the orthodontic field is always advancing. As an avid believer in lifelong learning, Dr. Papadopoulos continues to learn at various conferences and from a multitude of continuing education courses, transferring and applying these clinical benefits directly to his patients. He is currently the only Canadian orthodontist on the advisory board of Align Technology ("University and Early Career Advisory Board"), the parent company of "Invisalign".
Additionally, Dr. Papadopoulos was selected as a speaker for the American Association of Orthodontist's Annual Scientific Session in New Orleans, Louisiana in May 2024, and to our knowledge, is the first and only New Brunswick orthodontist in history to ever be invited as a speaker at this international conference.
