At Papadopsmiles, we offer the latest in both metal and clear braces technology.
This means more efficient tooth movement, a more comfortable experience (at our clinic we do NOT 'tighten' your braces), and a superior esthetic bracket (brace) that makes straightening your teeth not only feel great, but look great.
At Papadopsmiles we utilize superior quality brackets made from reputable companies that efficiently move your teeth in a comfortable way.
Whether the issue is crowding, spacing, or any other orthodontic problem, both our metal and clear braces will help you acheive your #SmileGoals while having a fantastic orthodontic experience at our clinic.
Having braces doesn't necessarily mean metal brackets and wires anymore. Our clear ceramic braces are truly one-of-a-kind, developed by 3M that give optimal clarity when placed on your teeth.
Additionally, because they do not require any coloured elastics, they truly are much more discreet than other types of braces. However, you can certainly add some style to them if you would like to add coloured elastics.
Both our clear and metal braces will move your teeth efficiently. The only difference is the esthetic look of each.
During your complimentary consultation Dr. Papadopoulos and our treatment coordinator will review all the options with you and show you exactly what they look like. We are here for you every step of the way so that you make the choice that is best for you and only you.
The braces that Dr. Papadopoulos selected for our clinic are those that are highly esthetic, very comfortable, and provide efficient movements of your teeth.
That is why we use self-ligating braces (in both clear and metal) which are more hygienic and produce gentler forces on the teeth. This is because they have 'doors' that open and close to hold the wire in place and do not require 'tightening', nor an elastic to 'tie' the wire into them.
These are not the same as other braces which tend to cause more discomfort for patients and also lead to difficulties cleaning them. We have the best braces to give you the best result.
Dr. Papadopoulos is very diligent in his orthodontic treatments to not cause discomfort in our patients. Our whole team takes pride in providing our patients with a result that not only gets done efficiently and looks great, but a result that was achieved through an enjoyable and comfortable experience for each patient. We do not 'tighten' your braces as we have the latest braces technology which avoids that. That is the Papadopsmiles Difference!
At Papadopsmiles, we ensure that your braces will not 'hurt', although there may be some mild discomfort when your teeth first begin to move (when your braces are first placed).
Dr. Papadopoulos has treated 1000s of patients with both clear braces and metal braces.
You can be confident that your teeth and smile are in good hands with our experienced orthodontist (a certified specialist in orthodontics).
During your free consultation at our clinic, Dr. Papadopoulos and our treatment coordinator will review the fees associated with your recommended treatment.

Ensuring you have a positive experience every step of the way is not just something we strive for -- it's something we commit to.
Our team will work with you and your family to ensure braces can be affordable for you and your family. We customize monthly payments that work within your budget with no interest whatsoever.
This is one of the most common questions we receive from our patients! The important thing to remember about orthodontic treatment is that both braces and clear aligners (such as Invisalign) are merely 'tools' that an orthodontist utilizes. The final result of a beautiful smile is crafted by the orthodontist, not by the braces or the clear aligners. Similar to how a talented artist can paint a beautiful picture using a variety of paints, an orthodontist can craft a beautiful smile using a variety of methods!
Sometimes our orthodontist will evaluate a smile and bite of a person and advise them that they should be treated with braces. Other times, we will recommend Invisalign. Most of the time we will advise our patients that either option will work. Dr. Papadopoulos knows what tooth movements are required in each specific case, and will therefore give you an honest answer on what treatment modality is best for your unique bite and smile.
Both braces and clear aligners offer several advantages, and both have their minor inconveniences (not necessarily 'disadvantages').
Braces:
- "Set it and forget it": braces are placed on your teeth and unlike clear aligners, cannot be removed. This makes compliance much easier during the course of your treatment
- Metal or Clear: braces can come in metal or ceramic, so there is some choice when it comes to a more esthetic option
- Require more attention to detail when brushing
- Treatment can be done quicker in some cases (e.g., if a patient chooses Invisalign and doesn't wear their aligners, then a treatment using braces would produce the desired result much faster)
- Certain foods need to be avoided (Dr. Papadopoulos and our team will review this with you in detail)
Clear Aligners (e.g., Invisalign):
- Are removable! This is great for oral hygiene and eating the foods you would like, but also can be a disadvantage since it is up to the patient to ensure they are wearing them 22 hours/day)
- Are more discreet than braces
- Easier to floss vs. braces (simply remove to brush and floss)
- No restrictions on sticky/hard foods
- No possibility of a pokey wire and low likelihood of an attachment coming off
- Require much more patient compliance
- Require extra 'attention' to ensure that the aligners are fitting perfectly
Whether you choose to have your orthodontic treatment completed using braces or clear aligners, one thing is for sure: Our team will guide you through every step of the process, help you select the best option for your case, and ensure that you achieve a beautiful, confident smile.
